 Description

Victorian sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.78 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.50 carats, to an elegant three stone design featuring curving claws, an ornately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to intricately carved shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, maker's mark 'JR' for Julius Rosenthal, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5774-686.
