 Description

Art Deco sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set with an octagonal scissor cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.10 carats, further set with four square step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, encircled by a row of ten round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carats, to a geometric cluster design featuring split corner claws, a scrolling openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting split shoulders with cheniers, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, English, circa 1935, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80240-33.
