 Description

Ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, encircled by six round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.90 carats to an elegant cluster design featuring polished edges, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the slightly trumpeting shoulders with linear engraved detail flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested white gold, circa 1920.
