 Description

Tourmaline and diamond cocktail ring. Set to centre with a round brilliant cut red natural tourmaline in an open back rubover setting, with an approximate weight of 1.60 carats, encompassed by eighteen rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, with am approximate combined weight of 1.40 carats, further set with forty two round transitional cut diamonds in open back grain settings, with a combined weight of 2.10 carats. The total diamond weight is approximately 3.50 carats, to an impressive bombé cluster design featuring smooth borders, a gadrooned gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by broad integrated shoulders that flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1960.
