 Description

Victorian sapphire and diamond five stone ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.60 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.80 carats, further set with two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats, and eight rose cut diamond points with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.48 carats, to a graduated carved half hoop with intricate scrolling engravings to the gallery, conforming to the finger with shaped backholing, the engraved shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79197-89.
