What is the process behind jewellery cleaning and maintenance? How do I book the appointment?   

Berganza offers a proper check and clean service on all purchased jewellery. The service will take approximately 15 minutes, and if your piece is in good condition, it will be returned to you. Otherwise, if you require any repair services, our specialists will help you with that. You can book the appointment online.

What happens if my engagement ring needs resizing?   

Berganza offers two complimentary resizing within 6 months of purchase to ensure the ring size fits you throughout the seasons. If you require resizing later than the above time period, you need to book an appointment online and our specialists size your finger and send this back to our workshop. It will take 10 working days and sometimes it takes longer for eternity rings.

Can you explain the restoration process of antique and vintage jewellery?   

We offer a restoration process for the pieces purchased from Berganza. We have highly skilled artisans specializing in various jewellery-making techniques, including mounters, gemstone setters, and polishers, as well as traditional crafts like lapidary, enamelling, and hand-engraving. Each piece is lovingly restored to ensure it returns to you in excellent condition. Trust us to care for your treasured pieces, preserving their beauty and history for years to come.

What are the factors to be taken care of during the jewellery evaluation?   

The piece should be seen within the past 12 months to assess its condition, ensuring it’s suitable for valuation. We recommend scheduling a check and clean appointment for a thorough assessment by our specialists. the rarity and value of the gemstones, whether natural or enhanced, play a significant role in the overall valuation. If any repairs are needed, the valuation will be provided only after completing those repairs. Updated valuations are crucial for appropriate insurance coverage and should be obtained every 3-5 years.

Do you offer insurance services for my jewellery?   

Berganza does not offer insurance as a service, however, you can add your piece to your home contents insurance in many cases. 

If you are looking for a separate insurer, we recommend T.H. March.

How do I get my wedding ring shaped to fit perfectly?   

Berganza offers exclusive service of bespoke shape-to-fit wedding bands. First, you need to book a wedding band appointment with our specialist. These appointments usually last around an hour and you can try on as many rings as you need to find the perfect one for you.

Can I exchange or upgrade my jewellery, and what is the process?   

If you’ve received a piece, such as an engagement ring or gift, that isn’t quite to your taste, please contact us as soon as possible. We offer exchanges for newly gifted items of similar value, provided the piece hasn’t been altered. 

For part-exchanges, if you have antique jewellery you'd like to sell, reach out with details about the piece and what you wish to exchange it for. 

To upgrade a Berganza piece, email us at info@berganza.com with information about the item you want to view and your current piece. We’ll then schedule an appointment for you to visit our showroom, where our specialists will assess your jewellery's condition. If you decide to proceed, you’ll receive the full amount you paid for your original piece towards your new selection, provided it’s in good condition and the new item is at least double the original value.
