 Description

Colombian emerald and diamond ring. Centrally set with one octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with minor clarity enhancement in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, flanked by six cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.35 carats, to an impressive seven stone design featuring curving claws, an ornately carved gallery featuring scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders with ridge detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-999.
