 Description

Edwardian Colombian emerald and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a rectangular emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with no colour enhancement and no clarity enhancement in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.70 carats, encircled by a row of eighteen round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.52 carats, further flanked by six round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.18 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.70 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster with curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth tapering shoulders and flowing through to a slim solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #09084 and Swiss Gemmological Institute report #111989.
