 Description

Antique diamond and ruby cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a closed back cut down setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, encircled by a single row of eight cushion shape mixed old cut natural unenhanced rubies in closed back cut down settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, to an ornate coronet cluster with scalloped edging and polished interior, the integrated trumpeting shoulders feature intricately carved floral and foliate decoration which continues through to the solid shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, English, circa 1850.
