 Description

Antique diamond cluster ring by Gorham. Set centrally with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back raised rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, further enhanced by twelve round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.20 carats, to a rectangular cluster with bevelled corners, decoratively enhanced with fine millegrain decoration to the borders and a floraform filigree motif issuing from the centre, proceeding to a pierced geometric gallery and fancy backholing, the ornate openwork shoulders set with cheniers and leading to a tapering D-shape shank. Tested platinum, marked 'GORHAM CO', American, circa 1905.
