 Description

Victorian ruby and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmeese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, encircled by a row of twelve cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in open back cut-down and grain settings and further adorned by twenty two cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in closed back cut-down and grain settings, thirty four in total with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, to a coronet cluster design featuring polished edges, a finely pierced gallery and intricate backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, French import marks, circa 1850, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report 5784-3569.
