 Description

Art Deco Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Set with a natural unenhanced Burmese oval old cut ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.50 carats, flanked by two vertically set and two horizontally set trapezium shape baguette cut diamonds in open back half rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats, and set to top and bottom with two slightly graduated rows of round old cut diamonds, ten in total with a combined weight of 0.30 carats in open back claw and rubover settings. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carats, all to a hexagonal cluster form with pierced openwork scrolled gallery and raised split shoulders, leading smoothly down to a tapered flat solid shank. Tested platinum, marked 'N5339', circa 1935, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #122660 and Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #07374.
