 Description

Art Deco diamond ring. Set to centre with one octagonal emerald-cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.40 carats, flanked by four square step cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, further set with twenty two round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats, further adorned by two kite shape step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.50 carats, to an ornate cluster design featuring corner claws, polished edges, an intricate openwork gallery with open backholing, the slightly raised shoulders supported by cheniers, flowing to a solid chamfered edge shank. Marked platinum and iridium, American, circa 1925.
