 Description

Art Deco Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set with a rectangular emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with moderate oil in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.65 carats, further set to top and bottom with two triangular step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.30 carats, flanked by two marquise shape old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, further set with a single row border of round old single cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings, all twenty four with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carats, to an elegant marquise shape openwork cluster with millegrain edging, an ornate scrolling gallery, intricate piercing and open backholing, flanked by engraved shoulders tapering down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested white gold and platinum, numbered '10', circa 1925, accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #25181.
