 Description

Yellow Ceylon sapphire and diamond flanked solitaire ring. Centrally set with an octagonal step cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 6.00 carats, flanked by four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back half rubbover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.35 carats, to a striking flanked solitaire design featuring polished edges, a geometrically pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1935, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5785-0058.
