 Description

Art Nouveau Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting, with an approximate weight of 1.20ct, further set with two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, further adorned with eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.25ct. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.25 carats, to an elegant three stone crossover design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to ridged shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, numbered '2468', circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80261-51.
