Belle Époque diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each suspending a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting, two in total with a combined weight of 1.00 carats, surmounted by a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting, two in total with a combined weight of 0.10 carats, connected by a line of four round single cut diamonds in closed back rubover and millegrain settings, eight in total with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.30 carats, to an articulated drop earring, flowing with movement featuring intricate circular collets, curving claws, scalloped details and intricately pierced backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and hinged back. Marked 18 carat gold and platinum, numbered '1144', French, circa 1915.
