 Description

Burmese ruby and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in a open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, surrounded by twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cut-down settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, further adorned by six cushion shape old mine diamonds in closed back grain settings with an approximate weight of 0.12 carats. The total diamond weight is 0.52 carats, to a elegant coronet cluster design featuring an intricately pierced gallery, openwork shoulder with floral detailing, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1880.
