Burmese ruby and diamond five stone ring. Horizontally set with three cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese rubies, in open back claw settings with an approximate total weight of 1.33 carats, further set with two cushion shape old mine diamonds with a combined approximate weight of 0.75 carats, further adorned with eight round eight cut diamonds in closed back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.83 carats to an impressive carved ring featuring curving claws, a solid gallery featuring engraving, and circular open backholing, flanked by intricately carved shoulders leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, engraved "L.P.Aug.08.", English, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5784-3224.
