 Description

Burmese ruby and diamond five stone ring. Set with three cushion shape old mine natural unenhanced Burmese rubies in open back half rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, further set with two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back half rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, decorated with ten round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.62 carats, to a graduating five stone design featuring polished edges, an intricate gallery with ridged detail and open and closed backholing, leading to ornately carved trumpeting shoulders which terminate in grooved detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-835.
