 Description

Purple Ceylon sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced purple Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting, with an approximate weight of 4.00 carats, adorned by eighteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate diamond weight of 0.80 carats, to an elegant cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, the raised shoulders feature a sinuous foliate design which terminate in ridged detail and flow through to a solid flat ridged shank. Tested platinum and yellow gold, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-2775.
