 Description

Chaumet diamond cluster ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond, J colour, VS2 clarity, with an approximate weight of 1.19 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by six round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats, surrounded by twenty eight round eight cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.84 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.27 carats, to a stylish openwork bombé cluster featuring fine split claws, intricate polished borders, decorative scalloped edging, pierced linear gallery and interlinked shaped backholing, the trumpeting shoulders are embellished with raised plaques adorned with graduating granule details leading to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, signed 'CHAUMET PARIS', French, circa 1935, with Chaumet fitted box embossed with intitials 'M-T.R.', accompanied by a Gemmological Institute of America (G.I.A.) report #5201073875.
