 Description

Diamond cocktail ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond, H colour, VS2 clarity, with a weight of 1.18 carats, in an open back claw setting, further set with ten round transitional cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.58 carats, to a structural openwork cocktail ring featuring curving claws, raised scrolling motifs and open backholing, leading to grooved trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid flat shank. Marked 18 carat rose gold and platinum, French, circa 1940, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2447527391.
