 Description

Aquamarine and diamond ring. Set to centre with a rectangular emerald-cut natural aquamarine in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.40 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats, further decorated with six round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.18 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.38 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring split claws and millegrain edging, a linear open gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to raised shoulders with ridged detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, indistinct marking to exterior of shank, circa 1915.
