 Description

Edwardian Burmese ruby and diamond drop earrings. A matching pair each set with one drop shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back rubover setting, two in total with an approximate combined weight of 2.00 carats, surrounded by sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings, thirty two in total with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, further set to top with a round old cut diamond in an open back grain setting, two in total with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, further adorned with eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, sixteen in total with a combined weight of 1.25 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.05 carats, to an elegant articulated drop earring, flowing with movement, featuring fine millegrain edging, decorative foliate engraving and open backholing, fitted to reverse with secure post and butterfly. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80261-58.
