 Description

Edwardian diamond and ruby dress ring. Vertically set with three round old cut diamonds graduated from centre and in open back millegrain collet settings with a combined weight of 1.80 carats, within a rectangular frame of twenty four channel set tapered calibre cut natural unenhanced rubies set in open back yellow gold rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.40 carats, the raised shoulders set with four round rose cut diamonds in millegrain bead settings, with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.84 carats, to an elegant rectangular plaque with an openwork gallery and intricate backholing, tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested rose gold and platinum, circa 1905.
