Edwardian diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each set to center with three cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings, six in total, with a combined approximate weight of 2.12 carats, encircled by sixteen round eight-cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, thirty-two in total, with a combined weight of 0.64 carats, and further set to top with three round eight-cut diamonds, in open back rubover settings, six in total with a combined weight of 0.08 carats, all suspended from a cushion shape old mine diamond, in an open back claw setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 1.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.48 carats to an elegant pair of earrings, with a flowing drop design, featuring millegrain edging, scalloped solid galleries and fancy open backholing, approximately 2.5 cm in length. Earrings and post tested platinum, butterfly marked platinum, circa 1910.
