 Description

Edwardian pearl and diamond brooch/pendant. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, further set with thirty-six round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.26 carats and decorated with six natural pearls in closed back half drilled settings. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.66 carats, to an ornately crafted snowflake design with initracte openwork, polished edges and open and closed backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinged pin and clasp, and to top with a circular bale, pendant approximately 3cm in length. Pendant marked 18 carat yellow gold and settings tested platinum, circa 1915.
