Vintage Eternity Rings

Article from Berganza

Vintage eternity rings are a symbol of everlasting love, represented in the shape of an endless circle. The intended purpose, whether it is to signify love, joy, friendship, an achievement or a memory, is held within the never-ending band. These elegant and sentimental eternity rings are often given as gifts to commemorate special occasions or anniversaries. Indeed, many jewellery lovers also buy an eternity ring to enjoy for themselves.

At Berganza, our specialist selection of antique and vintage rings includes an ever-changing choice of interesting and unusual vintage eternity rings. Our original vintage and antique eternity bands range from as far back as the 1770’s, right through to the fabulous 1940’s and on to the striking 1970’s. They include yellow gold, platinum and white gold rings, and some examples with mixed metals. You will find colourful pieces, set with natural unenhanced gemstones such as ruby, sapphire and emerald, and others with bright diamonds. Whether it is to go alongside an existing ring or to make a statement all on its own, we have options available for all tastes.

Our vintage eternity bands have a range of different settings, from intricate grain and claw settings, to seamless channel and gypsy settings. Some examples have fancy shaped collet settings such as boxes, hearts, twists and marquise shapes. The cut of diamonds and gemstones vary from old cut and old single cut, to baguette cut, step cut, calibre cut and French cut stones. Signed vintage eternity rings made by Cartier, Oscar Heyman Brothers and Tiffany & Co can be found in our collection, all of which are set with the very best materials and demonstrate expert workmanship.

Vintage eternity rings are extremely wearable and flow beautifully with the shape of the finger. They are perfect for everyday wear and can add some welcome sparkle or a pop of colour to your finger. We have a selection of both half eternity rings and full eternity rings. You can see our complete range of vintage eternity bands and older antique eternity rings in our showroom and on our website.
