 Description

Marquise diamond and ruby convertible ring. Set to centre with a marquise shape brilliant cut diamond, D colour, IF clarity, with a weight of 1.62 carats in an open back rubover setting, flanked by six square step-cut natural Burmese rubies in closed back channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.90 carats, to a bold flanked solitaire design with polished edges and open and closed backholing, leading to integrated shoulders which flow through to a solid D-shaped shank, fitted with a removable yellow gold outer ring, with a hammered finish and tapered shoulders. Marked platinum and tested 18ct yellow gold, maker's mark 'CM', circa 1950, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #5171188136.
