 Description

Marquise Shape Diamond Ring. Set to centre with a marquise shape old cut diamond, J colour, VS2 clarity, with a weight of 4.29 carats in an open back claw setting, encircled by twenty single cut diamonds in rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.4 carats, flanked by six round single cut diamonds in a rubover settings, with a total combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 4.81, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring stylised split claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to a decorative shoulders with milgrain edging and flowing through to a solid tapering D shaped shank. Marked platinum, indistinct makers mark, French, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2239365127.
