 Description

Edwardian pink Burmese sapphire and diamond cross over ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced pink Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, further set on a diagonal crossover with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.45 carats, framed by a crescent of four square baguette cut pink sapphires in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats, further adorned by a crescent of three round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, decorated further with eight round old cut diamonds, all eleven with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.65 carats and the total approximate pink sapphire weight is 0.78 carats, all set to an ornate two stone design featuring triple claw details, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to curving shoulders with engraved detail to the sides and flowing through to a solid tapered shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and tested platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80262-11.
