Set with eight square baguette cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.58 carats, alternated by seven square emerald-cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.12 carats, to a three row cluster featuring curving claws, polished edges and intricate square backholing, to fluted sides and flanked by split wirework shoulders, tapering down to a solid ridged shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, maker's mark for Oscar Heyman Brothers, numbered '15186', American, circa 1960.

Oscar Heyman Brothers are known as the "jeweller's jeweller". The firm was founded in New York in 1912 by two brothers, Oscar and Nathan, immigrants who trained in Fabergé workshops in the years before World War I.

Their technical skills learned in the Russian workshop uniquely placed them to successfully attract the most prestigious firms as their clients, creating pieces for many esteemed jewellery houses including Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and Cartier to name a few. They have created some iconic pieces including Taylor-Burton diamond drop necklace for Cartier in 1969.
