 Description

Roman inscribed gold ring. A yellow gold ring with raised ovoid bezel engraved with the letters ‘RA’, flanked by tapered shoulders inscribed with the letters ‘EUK’ and ‘TION’, all together forming the word EUKRATION (a type of hot drink), the tapered half round shank coming to three points at the bottom and two sides. Tested yellow gold, approximately 6.09 grams in weight, circa 1st-3rd century AD.

This ring is in fine condition with an attractive patina.
