 Description

S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd diamond carved ring. Set to centre with cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.65 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.85 carats. The total approximate diamond carat weight is 1.50 carats, to a carved, ornate three stone design with stylised claws, a finely carved open gallery and fancy open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders flow thorugh to a smooth, solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, 'SB & S' makers mark for S Blanckensee & Son. English, circa 1880.

The main diamond is approximately K-L colour, with approximately SI1-SI12 clarity.

The diamond sides are most likely I-J colour, with SI1 clarity.
