 Description

Sapphire and diamond crossover ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.25 carats, further set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats and decorated with ten round rose cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.60 carats, to an elegant crossover design featuring clover motifs with polished borders, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to asymmetric shoulders and flowing through to a solid chamfered shank. Tested rose gold and platinum, circa 1910.
