Sapphire and diamond seven stone gypsy ring. Set to centre with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, further set by two drop shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back grain setting with a combined weight of 0.55 carats, inter-spaced by four round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.16 carats. The total approximate sapphire weight is 0.95 carats, to an impressive seven stone design featuring polished edges, a smooth gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to broad integrated shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, full hallmarks for Chester, English, 1912.
