Gypsy Rings

One of the most recognisable styles of ring, a gypsy ring refers to a particular type of setting, more than the origin. Gemstones in this style of ring are set into the band, which is usually broad and conforming to the finger.

Most often seen in yellow gold, as was popular in the Victorian era when this style first came about, our collection also offers a few rarer examples in platinum.

Diamond set gypsy rings have been a firm favourite for over one hundred years. However, these rings can also be set with emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, to name just a few. Explore our antique collection where we have some particularly fine examples of gypsy rings set with beautiful cabochon gems, some featuring rare optical phenomena such as asterism.

Whilst many think of the quintessential gypsy ring as being set with just one stone, they can also feature three stones or five stones, which are becoming increasingly sought after, offering maximum sparkle within a refined and practical setting.
