 Description

Victorian Burmese sapphire three stone ring. Set horizontally to centre with three oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphires in open back claw and rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.68 carats, further adorned with four round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.04 carat, all to an elegant carved three stone design featuring split curving claws, an ornately carved scrolling gallery and open and closed backholing, leading to carved shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1880, accompanied by Swiss Gemological Institute (SSEF) report #112671.
