 Description

Victorian Ceylon sapphire and diamond marquise cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 4.50 carats, encircled by eighteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.20 carats, to an elegant marquise cluster design featuring polished edges, a pierced scalloped gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by carved fleur-de-lis trumpeting shoulders flowing down to a solid chamfered D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold and silver, circa 1880, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #111274.
