 Description

Victorian diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with a round old mine diamond in an open back claw and grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, flanked by two round old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined weight of 1.20 carats, further set with four round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.14 carats, all to an impressive three stone design featuring curving claws, an intricately carved gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, leading to trumpeting carved shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1890.
