 Description

Victorian emerald and diamond three stone ring. Centrally set with one cushion shape old cut natural emerald in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.27 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.14 carats, to an impressive three stone design featuring curving claws, an ornate gallery featuring carved scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders with ridge detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1880.

The emeralds are most likely to be from the Colombian mines.
