 Description

Ruby and diamond ring. Set with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back eight claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.30 carats, and three round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.65 carats, a further ten round old cut diamonds set to the shoulders in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.28 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.95 carats, to an elegant trefoil shape cluster with intricate backholing and cross over shoulders leading through to a solid tapered D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, hallmark's for Austria, circa 1900.
