 Description

Belle Époque diamond and Burmese ruby coronet cluster ring by Maurice Beck. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 1.60 carats, encircled by ten round old cut natural unenhanced Burmese rubies in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, further adorned with eight rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.02 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.62 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring an engraved border, an intricately pierced scalloped gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by stylized foliate form shoulders flowing through to a chamfered solid tapering shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, settings tested platinum, maker's mark for Maurice Beck, French, circa 1910.
