 Description

Burmese ruby and diamond crossover ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.09 carats, further set with a cushion shape old mine diamond with an approximate weight of 0.85 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked to the shoulders with ten round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carats, to an elegant crossover design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and tested platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gem Research Swisslab report #GRS2015-122608.
