 Description

Edwardian diamond and ruby cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.60 carats, encircled by a single row of ten round star top natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.50 carats, further encircled with a row of ten cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 1.80 carats, adorned further with ten round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.55 carats, all to an oval cluster design featuring pierced openwork details and millegrain edging, an ornately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to elegant split shoulders and flowing through to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, circa 1905.
