 Description

Edwardian sapphire and diamond necklace. Set vertically to centre with three cushion shape natural unenhanced sapphires in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.30 carats, further set to the cardinal points with four cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover setting with a combined approximate weight of 1.65 carats, decorated further with twenty six cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 2.08 carats, adorned further with sixteen round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.32 carats, set to bale with three round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.09 carats and chain set with four round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 4.26 carats, to an ornate openwork pendant design featuring millegrain and polished edging, a smooth gallery and fancy open backholing, fitted to top with a secure elongated bale and fine trace chain, pendant approximately 4.5cm in length, chain approximately 16" in length. Marked platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-562.
