 Description

Ornate Edwardian diamond cluster ring. Set centrally with one round old cut diamond, I colour, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 1.13 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats, further set with seventy round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.53 carats, to a bombé cluster design with an intricately pierced gallery with stylised scrolling foliate forms, each with millegrain edge detailing and fancy shaped backholing flowing through to trumpeted chamfered shoulders, leading to a slim D-shaped shank. Marked platinum, indistict maker's mark circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America report #6183914224
